Description

Ok, we're gonna do one more!

ARTIST:  Nasty Facts
TITLE:  Drive My Car c/w Get To You & Crazy 'bout You  (UBIK-3)
FORMAT:  Black Vinyl 45 with Picture Sleeve
RELEASE DATE:  1981
DESCRIPTION:  VG+ copy.  The sleeve is VG+ with some crinkling and a tiny tear at the opening (see photos).  The 45 shows only minor visual flaws, light surface marks and a couple of very light scratches at the end of Crazy 'bout You.  It was play-tested and does NOT skip on our Technics SL-1210 turntable.  There is some light surface noise, but we've found that to be the case with even brand new (NOS) copies.  Early '80s pressings weren't perfect, especially 45s done at the smaller plants.

This is the rarer, large-hole pressing that was run shortly after the more widely available small hole pressing so that it could be added to juke boxes in bars and clubs in NYC.  The labels of this entire limited run (pressed at a different plant than the small hole pressing) were slightly burned by the press on one edge to varying degrees (some worse than others), which make them appear a little foxed.

The large hole labels were designed by Ric Gallagher, the artist who did the Nasty Facts single cover illustration and the original Jimboco logo.  He also did the artwork for the (extremely rare) 11 x 17 poster that was pasted around downtown NYC when this single was released in 1981.  (FYI:  The small hole label was drawn by Punk Magazine artist, Bruce Carleton--Mutant Monster Beach Party, etc.)--and was used on another Jimboco 45 release by the Rousers, 'Party Boy' (produced by MC5 guitarist, Wayne Kramer).  (Source:  Jimboco Records.)
