Description
An extremely rare Warner Brothers in-house test pressing (white label LP) from March 1978 of the upcoming Neil Young album GIVE TO THE WIND. Very few of these test pressings were made, for label executives, artist management and key media people. The original in-house document shows the proposed label copy, with a number of changes that have already been made, including switching the album's two sides, adding producer's credits, confirmed timings, a typo fix and adding the LP number (MSK 2266). The album's title here is still GIVE TO THE WIND. The next Label Copy memo lists a revision made on April 8 as "Album Title Change." Underneath, the title is now shown as COMES A TIME. Indeed, the track listings on the sheets for both GIVE TO THE WIND and COMES A TIME are the same, and it's the original version, with "Lotta Love" closing out Side One (this was LATER switched to the side closing with "Peace of Mind"). Disc comes in standard white cardboard sleeve with the catalog number (and the name NIEL YOUNG) written on one side. LP and both original in-house documents are mint.
