Description
I play all my records from beginning to end prior to auction on my Garrard 401 record player using a Shure V15 cartridge.
Here I have a copy of the ' Neil Young ' 1968 release ' Neil Young'.
The album cover is an early US copy without the 'Neil Young' present on the front cover. Instead it's been signed by Neil himself!
Cat no RS 6317
Grading :
The cover is made from heavy stock card which was a very common material for making covers in the US in the late 60's and early 70's. Very little wear to this one, some rub flecks to the front and some minor wear to the extremities, hint of ringwear to the rear and what looks like a small repair to the rear top right using a small piece of sellotape but it's been really neatly done. The front, spine and rear are very clean though with no writing etc.. so I have to grade this as VG+. What makes this very special is that it is boldy signed in black marker by Neil Young himself in the top right corner.
Please see the photo's for more details.
After some research the record is not original to the cover. As far as grading goes I haven't played it but visually it looks fine with nothing untoward on the vinyl surface so I'll conservatively grade it as VG.
