Description
A fantastic find—an original 1977 factory-sealed US pressing of Nektar’s seventh studio album, Magic Is a Child. Released on Polydor Records under the original domestic catalog number PD-1-6115, this beautifully preserved LP has remained completely unopened, unplayed, and untouched for nearly 50 years.
Recorded at the legendary House of Music in West Orange, New Jersey, this album marks a fascinating stylistic pivot for the English prog pioneers. With new guitarist Dave Nelson stepping in, the band blended their signature intricate musicianship with tight, soaring art-pop arrangements. Beyond the music, the album is highly famous for its striking cover photography, featuring a young Brooke Shields in one of her earliest modeling appearances.
