Description
Original RCA APL1-0909, still sealed, NOT FOR SALE - PROMOTIONAL LP
Doesn't get any better than this. Not only is this a sealed 1975 copy of this Funky Feast, it is embossed in the upper right corner
as a not for sale promo.
Check out the cover picture, and zoom in on the upper right corner for the NFS PROMO imprint.
Cover has ring wear noticeable on shrink. 2 elliptical 1/4" holes in shrink, which are not uncommon.
Very minor corner edge bumps. Old $1.69 price sticker on shrink.
Vinyl would be assumed to be Mint / Unplayed.
Why buy a reissue? This is a 1975 RCA keeper for your collection. Realistic reserve set.
Funktastic!

Eschewing vocals altogether, it's Weldon Irvine's most balanced and complete recording, deftly combining massive funk grooves with ingenious electronic elements. Featuring a supporting cast including bassist Cleveland Freeman, trumpeters Charles Sullivan and Everett "Blood" Hollins, and saxophonist Sonny Fortune, Spirit Man parallels Herbie Hancock's groundbreaking fusion dates in both the imagination and ferocity of Irvine's keyboards as well as the extraterrestrial reach of its electronic effects. This music is deep, funky, and deeply funky. ~ Jason Ankeny
