Description
New Order Blue Monday ULTRA-RARE MISPRESS
Here is the ultra-rare and highly collectible Factory Records mispress issue of New Order's 'Blue Monday' from 1983 on 12" record and playing a whole side of the Joy Division LP 'Closer' on the b-side as opposed to the official b-side of 'The Beach'.
Please read everything within this item description prior to making a bid. Serious bidders only, please.
Condition is as follows:
Record: VG+ (with lots of light and persistent surface marks and scuffs all across each side that were somehow and uncharacteristically present on original 1983 purchase and seem to be prevalent across most examples of this mispress issue: also average signs of use and wear... none of these marks, scuffs have a notable effect on playback of either side of the record, but should be considered before deciding to make a bid). Overall, visually, it looks just under VG+ on closer inspection and held up in the light. Playback is VG+ or above with expected and acceptable crackles on run-in and between tracks, none overpowering the enjoyment of the record. In fact, it is a superb player all through on both sides.
Sleeve condition is VG+ with average signs of use and storage, minor edge scuffs and edge wear etc. A nice looking example that I am sure will be a superb and worthy addition to any New Order/Joy Division/Factory records collector.
