New Order - "Ceremony" Vinyl 12-Inch Single.

Original 1981 UK-issue 2-track 12-Inch on Factory Records.

An original first issue copy, with the Green & Gold Sleeve and original March 1981 recording of "Ceremony".

New Order's debut single - Both songs were actually written (early recordings also exist) as material for Joy Division - but were formally recorded and released as the first record of New Order, following the untimely death of Ian Curtis.

This is an original 1981 first issue copy, with the original March 1981 (pre-Gillian Gilbert) recording of "Ceremony". (a different version was recorded in September 1981, and (mostly) re-packaged in a new sleeve design - but with the same Catalog Number).

Produced by the legendary Martin Hannett.

Immaculate Vinyl, Nice Sleeve (see detailed gradings below).
Stunning Vinyl, and Comfortably above average sleeve for this 32 year old gem.

Vinyl - EX Plus
- All pretty much clean and unmarked. Virtually no sign of any play or handling.
- Runout, Side A :- FAC 33 A1 / WATCHING LOVE GROW - FOREVER / TOWNHOUSE / EG
- Runout, Side B :- FAC 33 B1 / HOW I WISH WE WERE HERE WITH YOU NOW / TOWNHOUSE / EG
 
Sleeve - VG Plus
- No sticker marks or writing, No edge or spine wear, No splits.
- Just a very faint partial ringwear rub mark from storage, just for a few cm. near the centre of the top edge. Hardly noticeable.
- Some minor storage rubbing near the top edge, mostly on the back. Nothing Drastic!
- Just the lightest of corner rubbing and general handling/storage marks.

Labels - EX Plus
- Clean and unmarked. No wear, writing or sticker marks. No spindle marks. No fading.

Despatch and Packing :-

All items are normally posted within 48 hours of receiving payment.
Where payment is by Cheque (or Paypal's eCheque), items will not be despatched until the cheque has cleared.

Purpose-designed mailing/packaging materials will be used.

Your record(s) will be well protected against the rigours of normal handling/shipping, including getting wet in the rain!

All records are packed outside of their main packaging (in a new plain inner where necessary), to avoid sleeve splits in transit.
