Description
In the 1970's thru 1980's (after which I stopped buying records) there would be great album finds in the "cut-out" bin at the record store. These apparently were records that were overstock or did not initially sell for some reason. They were still wrapped in factory plastic, and would sell at a reduced price. The indicator of a cut-out was a notch or hole or clipped corner in the cover (and inner sleeve). This used vinyl LP copy of Lies by New Order is a cutout - it has a short notch cut in the bottom edge near the left side of the cover.
In addition to the notch, the cover shows shelf wear and corner wear usual for its normal use and handling. Front face is really good without too much surface wear, the back has a small black mark upper left as viewed in photos.
Rare for records is that this inner sleeve is also cardboard, not paper, and thus is in excellent condition with no damage.
The record has hardly been played. It looks great without any scratches or fingerprints, although it probably needs to be cleaned with a disc washer or other manner. It played great on my turntable in a test.
