Description
Nic Jones - Nic Jones, s/t, UK 1971, *MINT*, on the red Trailer label, this 1st pressing, A1/B1, Stunning Copy !
I have been a record collector for 40 years and have always “invested” in first UK or US pressings in the best possible condition - ideally excellent plus or better. Lockdown now allowed me to go through my collection and I decided to let some albums go over the next weeks and months.
For auction:
This is the magnificent second solo album by English folk singer and finger style guitarist Nic Jones. The album was released in 1971 on the highly collectible Trailer label. Trailer was a folk revivalist co-label of the British Leader Records. This is a first pressing on the red Trailer label. Yellow label pressings are later copies.
This is a real beauty, don’t miss out!! Only played once by me to play grade.
What makes this copy so special is the MINT condition of the vinyl, the cover has some minor wear only with a perfect pinched spine and was printed by MacNeill Press. Cover is graded EXCELLENT PLUS. Please see photos for more details.
Comes with the original non poly lined inner sleeves, patent no. 1.125.555.and Made in England reference.
Vinyl: stamped matrix: side A: LER 2027 A-1G & side B: LER 2027 B-1G
Play graded on a Thorens TD 160, Ortofon VMS20E MkII, B&W 685 speakers. Heavy weight high quality vinyl pressing - sublime audio - a joy to play grade.
NOTE - I am also auctioning the Jon Raven/Nic Jones/Tony Rose album „Songs of a changing world”, 1973, on the red Trailer label, mint vinyl condition.
