What is it?
Nic Jones – The Noah's Ark Trap (Trailer – LER 2091)
The absolutely awesome third solo LP by this stupidly good English folk singer (he recorded with the Halliard before going solo). Like everything else on Trailer, the copyright for the songs on this LP is a matter of long term legal issues and this record has never been reissued properly. Nic got badly injured in a car crash in the 1980s, and is still hoping to get the rights back – hence his Trailer performances tend to get taken off YouTube and suchlike by his family if they get uploaded with a view to being able to legitimately sell them some day. Condition
Sleeve: FAIR: See pictures. At some point in its life, this record got wet and some of the paper round the spine on the front cover got torn. As you can also see, Nic Jones has signed this copy (signature guaranteed authentic – I have seen more than one).
Record: VG-: There are a few delicate surface scuffs and a bit of crackle consistent with this having been a busy record at some point in its life. It is quite possible that a good clean – I do it with a weak washing-up liquid solution – could bring it up a treat. However, that is your call. NB: I don't grade anything as MINT unless I know for an absolute fact that the record has never been played before.
TRUST MY GRADINGS; I worked in a top London collector's shop for years, and my VG is most people's MINT on eBay.
I recycle packaging when possible; it's cheap and also the right thing to do, people.
