There are only 2 references to this programs existence i can find, one is a vague reference on the official Sandy Denny website, as well as some other guy that was selling it for over 400 euros.
For auction here is a very rare original 1970 UK concert program for a short 5 day tour by Fotheringay supported by Nick Drake and the Humblebums in March 1970.
It was bought at the concert on March 18th in 1970 at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester in the UK.
Sandy Denny's band Fotheringay had just released their only album in the same month and went on tour to promote it.
Nick Drake only ever played around 20 live dates and this was the only tour he ever did. His debut album "Five Leaves Left" had been released a couple of months earlier.
Completing the bill was the Billy Connolly and Gerry Rafferty group The Humblebums who were just about to release their last album.
Nick Drake hated playing live so he did very few concerts, as a result hardly any of his original concert memorabilia still exists in the world. At most only a couple of his concert programs still exist, but this is one of them.
This is your chance to own a rare piece of history, the program was bought on March 18th 1970 at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester in the UK, this was the second date on the 5 day tour.
The program measures 8 inch x 10 inch exactly and has 8 pages, it lists all 3 tour member acts and contains photos of Fotheringay, The Humblebums and Nick Drake plus a biography of Fotheringay and The Humblebums but not Nick Drake.
It is in very good condition with both original staples.
The date and venue it was bought on are written in the top right corner. Other than that there is no other writing.
It is fully intact except for the top staple no longer holds pages [see last 2 pics].
The staples are turning brown from oxidisation.
