ARTIST: THE BEATLES
TITLE: SONGS, PICTURES AND STORIES OF THE FABULOUS BEATLES
YEAR: 1964
LABEL: VEE JAY RECORDS (VJ Brackets Rainbow) Label Lists title as "Introducing The Beatles"
CATALOG NUMBER: VJLP 1062 (MONO) same LP as VJ "Introducing The Beatles" Version 2)
COUNTRY: UNITED STATES
VINYL CONDITION: VG- * Vinyl is Still Shiny retaining most all it's Orig. luster. It has light scuffs and hairline scratches from being played. There is a visible scuff mark at the beginning of Side 1 (see pics) but it can't be felt with your finger and hardly produces any "noise" as the needle passes through it. The vinyl has some other light marks mostly seen only under a strong light. They hardly at all sound when played but for an occasional "pop" in just a couple spots. It does have some light surface noise but that is heard mostly between tracks only. I listened to it all the way through and it played and sounded very good on both sides with NO skips! It's an Enjoyable Listen all the way through.
Vinyl still plays with Incredible Fidelity and Mono "punch"!
The Rainbow VJ Rainbow "Brackets" label (w/ The Beatles above the spindle hole) looks great showing only some light spindle hole wear (see pics)
JACKET CONDITION: G+ * Original 1st Edition 3/4 Gatefold Jacket Still looks Good all-around. Jacket's Front and Back Covers show some light shelf wear. The bottom right side corner tip is dulled and has some light" damage/crease" but is still fully intact. The other 3 corner tips also have some dulling. Seams show shelf wear but no splits. The spine has lost all it's text and black backing but is still fully intact with no splits (see pics). Inside Gatefold still looks Great! Jacket has NO cut-out marks.
NOTES: ORIGINAL 1964 VJ RECORDS PRESSING. THIS IS VJ'S "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES LP (Version 2) WHICH THEY REPACKAGED IN A DIFFERENT JACKET TO CASH IN SOME MORE ON THE BEATLEMANIA CRAZE THAT WAS SWEEPING THE NATION. IN FACT, THE VINYL'S LABEL LISTS THE TITLE AS AS "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES".
VINYL STILL PLAYS WITH EXCELLENT FIDELITY AND MONO "PUNCH".
THE RECORD AND JACKET ARE NOT PERFECT, THE 1ST EDITION 3/4 GATEFOLD JACKET LOOKS FINE FRONT BACK & INSIDE BUT DOES SHOW WEAR AROUND THE EDGES AND SPINE AND THE VINYL HAS BEEN PLAYED BUT STILL IS AN ENJOYABLE LISTEN ALL THE WAY THROUGH.
IT'S DEFINITELY WORTHY TO FIT INTO YOUR COLLECTION IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE, THEY ARE GETTING TOUGH TO FIND!
