KARL DENVER CRY A LITTLE SOMETIME // TODAY WILL BE YESTERDAY TOMORROW on MERCURY UK
OK it ain't obviously Northern Soul but I thought I'd enclose this 45 as it's 'MERCURY LABEL WEEK' this week, a pop artist but what an outstanding tune from 1965 with a superb backing track and a lovely 2-step beat, imagine if Ray Pollard, Bobby Paris or maybe even Dusty Springfield had been handed this one, quite an elusive 45 to track down actually and this one will really 'tug' at your heart strings! This is a song with 'feeling' and one for lovers of big beat ballads of the 'nice' kind and with just a couple of spins, you're hooked...gosh I love this song from Mr.Denver :) This is the 'Kenny Shepard' of the pop beat ballads! NM
