Description

Years went by. Memories faded. Nick was still there, with a deep history by now of Bad Seeds and solo recordings, the storyteller, the beautiful suffering writer at the mike.
But he was young once, and wild as fuck. And a great writer already.
You haven't heard Birthday Party yet, you may not really know Nick Cave.
For me, he never did anything as great as this one album right here. When you list records on Ebay, you have to pick genres, categories. It's amazing how many boxes this band checked...go look, it got up to 23 kinds of music. That's because they were inventing stuff that hadn't quite happened yet. Every kind of goth, industrial, post-punk you can imagine. And it's...Australian. There's no category available for YAWP or YELP or BITE!!!
NM/NM pristine vinyl, the sleeve shows slight ringwear. This is the FIRST PRESSING, 4AD - CAD207 (Missing Link). There's a custom lyric inner sleeve. This is the early variant with the address of the record company appearing on the back of the sleeve.
The pressing is gorgeous and the mastering superb, one of the most ambient studio recordings of this wonderful era. What a production, and a wonderful justification for getting certain music on vinyl. And what a great beginning.
