A particularly attractive copy of Nick Drake’s Bryter Layter, presented here in the distinctive 1999 Simply Vinyl 180g edition.
This is not a modern budget reissue and it is not being presented as an original 1971 pressing. It is the sought-after late-1990s Simply Vinyl audiophile edition, pressed on heavyweight 180g Virgin Vinyl and issued as catalogue number SVLP 094.
What makes this copy especially appealing is how much of the original Simply Vinyl presentation has survived.
It retains the clear branded PVC outer sleeve, original 180g Virgin Vinyl hype sticker and silver Simply Vinyl seal, alongside the picture sleeve and record itself.
For collectors of these late-1990s Simply Vinyl pressings, those details matter.

CONDITION
The vinyl has been play-tested and plays very well.
The record itself presents extremely nicely, retaining a clean glossy appearance with only light evidence of previous handling and play.
The picture sleeve is also very well preserved, with only minor signs of storage and handling visible on close inspection.
Importantly, this copy retains the original clear Simply Vinyl PVC outer sleeve, together with the 180g Virgin Vinyl hype sticker and silver Simply Vinyl seal.
The PVC outer shows the kind of light handling and storage creasing expected from this type of packaging, but remains an important part of the original presentation.
Please study all photographs carefully. They show the exact record, sleeve and Simply Vinyl packaging being offered and form part of the condition description.

Nick Drake left behind an extraordinarily small catalogue, which is part of what makes each of his three studio albums feel so significant.
Originally released in 1971, Bryter Layter sits between the intimacy of Five Leaves Left and the stark minimalism of Pink Moon, with a fuller, more arranged sound that still leaves Drake’s songwriting firmly at the centre.
