this is one of a number of lovely items i have up just now. all are on 7 day auctions ending monday. am happy to combine post on any multiple wins and will try and round down for you!
this one is a uk original of the total classic nick drake "bryter layter" lp on island from 1970!
ticks all the boxes fora uk original:-
textured sleeve "printed and made by the ej day group, london and bedford" on bottom right hand back sleeve. song titles unbracketed
condition wise:-
outer sleeve: perfect clean intact seams, 1 or 2 light bumps and (i hesitate to use the word "bends") but just average handling signs, really hardly worth discussing they're barely noticeable. looks like feint traces of price sticker removal repairation- see scan close u of sleeve. you have to look pretty hard though- all in all a lovely sleeve- vg++/ex-. **important** one pic makes it look like there is ringwear, there really isn't, it's just the light off the flash / angle of the sleeve!!**
vinyl: perfectly clean labels. playing wise, no scratches, one or two audible clicks among some of the quieter moments. side 2 has 1 visible scratch, not deep but worth mentioning here despite it playing through fine!
inner sleeve, is plain white, has "made in great britain" and "patent. no: 1125555" on it.
run out grooves: a) ILPS 9134A-1U B) ILPS 9134B-1U
overall a lovely copy, probably not best as a hoarder if yr looking for a minty one, but still an easy vg++/ex- and priced low to start!
