Description
On offer here is a rare copy of Bryter Layter by Nick Drake, released in Japan on the Universal Music Label in 2007.
It comes in the original textured single cover and is pressed on heavyweight 200 gram vinyl from the original tapes. It has an OBI and comes in a resealable polythene cover. It also has a lyric sheet with the lyrics in both English and Japanese.
I was told when I bought it that these pressings were numbered, but I cannot see a number on the OBI,maybe it’s in Japanese!
All three of Drakes albums were released in this way and I bought my copy on special order import from my then local independent record store. I have never seen any of these for sale before anywhere.
I bought this copy new on release but never played it, It is in its original day of release condition. I have only opened the resealable polythene cover to take the photos here.
The record will be sent outside of it’s cover in a polythene sleeve sandwiched between two 12”stiffeners in a heavy duty record mailer made by Covers 33, as used by Mail Order Record companies.
