All discs I sell are professionally cleaned

One from my own personal collection. I now have another copy of this fine album, so I’m letting this one go.

I won’t go into loads of blurb about pressing matrices etc, suffice to say this is genuine 1970 1st press due to the un-bracketed song times on label as well as inclusion of the “Stereo” on the label. Later pressings have a different label design.

I’m not a dealer anymore, but I am a person that is a total vinyl junkie and on the rare occasions I let my vinyl go I will always be honest with my grading, even if it means I risk under selling it. There is nothing worse than getting a record that has been over graded. I simply will not do that, I don’t use mint unless it’s sealed and won’t use excellent unless it’s CD quality,oh and I won’t use multiple ++++++++++++++++++++ either!!

So let’s start with the cover. Has some ringwear and colour lift in places, no writing legible on spline, I’m grading it as Good.

Onto the disc itself. Nice visible shine, for what’s that worth. To be honest with you I’ve had some fabulous “looking” records that play like bacon and eggs frying (and vice Versa)

Side A plays reasonably well, there is some surface noise in places but it doesn’t over power the music, I would grade as very good

Side B also plays reasonably well, however there is some early stages of “groove wear”which is prominent on northern sky, it just clips on the very high frequencies, classic poor turntable set up from years ago. As the disc nears the end of side B the groove wear becomes more prominent, to my ears this doesn’t detract from the music, but I want to make any buyer aware. I would grade as good +

No jumps or skips whatsoever

Groove wear is a blight on vinyl society, it’s prominent on so many records especially early pressings, don’t be misled by the term crackle, in my experience crackle inevitably is groove wear of some degree or other, especially if it gets louder as it nears the centre of the record. BUT if you catch it early and your turntable is set up correctly it shouldn’t get any worse, and the enjoyment of the music shouldn’t be an issue

If you don’t agree with my grading then I’m more than happy to have the disc returned to me within 14 days after auction end, and your money will be refunded (less postage of course)

If you are looking for a mint copy this isn’t for you, however I have had this disc for many years and have always enjoyed it as a piece of work, but please bid accordingly to my grading. I would rather have someone purchase it and be happy I have undergraded it then be gutted because you paid a lot and feel I have overgraded it.
