Description
This auction is for an Island, second pressing palm tree label pressing of Nick Drake's Five Leaves Left.
The stamped matrix numbers are ILPS 9105 A-3U / ILPS 9105 B-3U.
The jacket is the first run printing with 'printed & made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd.' and the early first pressing Island eye logo. I read that for the second pressing of the record Island used these leftover jackets from the first run until they ran out and moved onto the second jacket variation.
The jacket is VG+, no seem splits, has some moderate edge wear more to the top edge than the bottom. Some hairline crease marks near the spine and some very very light run wear to the inner gatefold. Overall it is in great shape.
The vinyl is EX, with only one or two ultra light hairlines and maybe a sleeve scuff, looks and plays clean!!
