Description
For sale is the first release of this beautiful album from Nick Drake - Pink Moon. This is the original first pressing with the pink rim on the record label.
I would personally class the condition of this lp as excellent.
The record has no visible scratches, just fine marks when held up to the light as with most vinyl. The labels on both sides of the lp are perfect - as can be seen in the photographs.
The inner sleeve is the original in pale blue and branded Island Records. It is in excellent condition with just a short tear (1.5") appearing at the bottom edge where the record has tried to push through. Don't be mislead by the colour in the photograph - it is the genuine pale blue sleeve.
The gatefold case is in great condition, the front and rear face just having a few very minor scuffs that have not broken the surface print. The spines and edges are the weakest point of the whole lp, but the name, title and release number are still clearly visible. The edges are scuffed along parts of their length but this is only on the exposed edge and does not carry onto the faces of the cover. The photo shows the worst of the edge scuffing.
In all, you would struggle to find a better condition copy. I have tried to describe its condition honestly, but as I am not a professional record dealer, my use of the terms excellent, good etc may not match the "industry standard". Considering this lp is 36 years old, it is clear that it has been treasured for all of its life - as it should be!
