NICO – CHELSEA GIRL – 1968 VERVE PROMOTIONAL LP

Verve Records V5032 – This is the Mono (and first) version released in 1968. The LP is still in its original shrinkwrap. There is a small split in the shrinkwrap in the bottom right hand corner and it is broken on all for corners so there are bumps and wear on the corners. There is some age toning on the left side edge of the cover. The vinyl is in excellent, NM condition with a nice deep gloss and just a couple light paper scuffs. The labels are clean, clear and bright. The audio quality is terrific. This is especially critical on the particular LP because there are so many soft passages in the music. I have sampled all of the cuts and paid special attention to the amount of background noise in the dead spots between the songs to assess the amount of background noise – in the spots where it is evident (and there are not many), it is minimal. It comes with the original Verve inner sleeve that has a circular design with pictures of other Verve artists.
