About This Record.  Ah yes! Here's another cool slab of vinyl from my collection.  This is an original USA copy of Nico's LP entitled The Marble Index on USA Elektra Records from 1968.  This is an absolutely necessary LP for anyone who loves wierd music that makes your spine tingle  . . . as much as I love Nico and the Velvet Underground, I am not so much a fan of her other LPs, including Chelsea Girl, but this one is ESSENTIAL and very rare.  This is not the tan label or the red label reissue, but the original pressing with -MON (for Monarch Records pressing plant) in the trail off matrix on both sides.  This is one of my favorite 25 LPs on the planet, and lucky for you the copy I found that had NO drill hole in the cover also had a clean LP!? I don't think Lou Reed played on this LP, but Nico's voice sounds like his guitar in some places.

Vinyl Condition.  EX+/better keeper copy.

Cover Condition.  STRONG EX-; light shelf wear and corner wear in bottom corners, including almost minor crease in lower right corner; and that ever-present drill hole from cut out status in the top right corner.  Otherwise, the cover is crispy clean and close to a keeper as these things go; see photos!

Innsersleeve.  This does comes cleaned on my VPI innersleeve in a new rice paper or similar sleeve but also comes with the original plain paper innersleeve. 

Labels.  Mint minus/ EX+.  See photos one side has one spindle trail indicating that this LP was indeed played at least a couple times.

About Me.  I have been a Record Collector for over 35 years.  I bought this many years ago during my travels and have kept it well-preserved.  If this were not New and SEALED it would cleaned on my VPI record cleaning machine.
