Original UK private pressing from on the Isle of light label from 1976. The record and sleeve are in EX(+) condition.

The first album by Nigel Mazlyn Jones, guitarist, singer and songwriter. The guitar style and sound, involving use of harmonics and extensive electronic treatments, is already fully formed. The album was recorded in March 1976 in Birmingham at Nest Studios, produced by Nigel Mazlyn Jones and engineered by Jake Commander and Kim Holmes. It features contributions by then-members of Decameron, Madrigal and Steve Ashley's band.

Once heard, never forgotten
It is over 20 years since I first heard NMJ perform these songs live - haunting melodies, wonderful guitar playing and meaningful lyrics that take your imagination away to Cornwall with its towering cliffs, lonely seas and the scent of celtic times gone by.
But beware - Once you have listened to these musical tales, so beautifully performed, no other music will ever sound quite as good again.
Truly excellent piece of British acoustic folk music
I came across this album about 15 years ago because a friend's Dad had something to do with the production of it. It is a truly remarkable album with one of the strangest feels of any album I have heard. Hauntingly beautiful, incredible guitar playing - a timeless classic.
