Description
Super clean condition and ultra-rare copy of this 1966 Philips UK Stereo pressing! The album was released largely in the US and the UK in both Mono and Stereo versions, with limited releases in France and The Netherlands too. It has since been re-issued and re-pressed several times across various formats, some with altered titles, but this is one of the original UK black/silver label Stereo copies from 1966 and is in fantastic condition for its age.

Vinyl: Ex - Superb condition for an album that's in its 50th year! Lovely and clean with a mirror-like lustre and sheen. On close examination, there are some light, superficial hairline surface marks, but I've play-tested it in full and it sounds stunning. Barely a crackle, even on the run-ins and dead-wax between tracks. Lies nice and flat on the turntable with no traces of any warping. Black and silver Philips company labels with silver label-text. Labels are clean and free from scuffs, stains and blemishes with only light signs of spindle-wear.
Sleeve: VG+/Ex - Great condition sleeve for its age. Gloss finished flip-back card sleeve with illustration of an Egyptian high priestess on the front cover against a black background. Rear cover is plain white with track-listing, credits and sleeve notes by Del Shields of the National Association Of Radio Announcers). The plain white rear shows some light signs of age discolouration, but it's 50 years old!! It's otherwise completely intact with no splits, tears or creases. The gloss finish is entirely un-damaged and all the flip-back tabs are securely gummed down. The edges remain nice and crisp with only very light wear at the opening.
It's a remarkable condition copy - a genuine rarity and collector's item, recognised as such by sites like Discogs and Record Collector's Rare Record Price Guide.
