Description
This is it, people; the highly talked about Universal German pressing of Nirvana's "In Utero" with the original Steve Albini master tapes used instead of the remixed ones.
From Wikipedia:
"In 2003 what is believed to be the original Albini mix of In Utero was issued as a vinyl-only release by Universal Records in the UK. This is believed to be the result of a mistake at the factory when the wrong master tapes were used to have the album recut. The discs were manufactured in Germany. They can be indentified by the numbers A33 9124 536 S1 320 pressed into the deadwax, or the catalog numbers 424 536-1 on the disc."
This auction is for the aforementioned copy, with the catalog numbers 4245361. It's still sealed and is in mint condition. I thought it was a bummer that this was only on eBay for $300+, so the starting price on here is $0.99. This is a really cool record to own, "Heart Shaped Box" and "All Apologies" sound especially different. Steve Albini is the man. Bid hard!
