Description
Another classic album from my personal collection. Purchased by me in 1991, this European 1st pressing made in Holland is one of the rare copies with the upside down inner sleeve. Over 600 variants of this seismic album, including over fifty variants of vinyl. Two original US versions (DGC and Columbia Records Club) and the original European versions produced in Holland (now the Netherlands) and Germany. This standard DGC version DGC 24425 has Made in Holland and 08-031492-20 appears on the labels.
Genre: Rock
Style: Grunge, Alternative Rock
Producer, Engineer: Butch Vig, Nirvana
This is a rare and highly sought after copy of Nirvana’s iconic album released in 1991 under the Geffen label. It is a first European pressing with the rare upside down inner sleeve.
Having, as I always do to ensure the buyer and seller are fully aware of what is on offer, play graded the album I will give an honest assessment of the album. Apart from a very few minor clicks and a minimal skip during ‘Drain You’ for a very short period on side 2 there are no scratches, pops or clicks and minimum surface noise throughout the album and I am happy to grade the album as EX overall. The production values on this early pressing shine through, highlighting the superb dynamics in the production of the album. No noticeable spindle wear (please see photos). The album cover is in excellent condition with no marks, creases or signs of wear. The upside down inner sleeve is NM with no damage whatsoever.

This is a great opportunity to buy a first pressing of this iconic album that has sold upwards of thirty million copies and would be a great addition to any Nirvana collector.
