 Sub Pop - 1990

"Sliver," with “Dive” as the B-side, was originally released as a single by Sub Pop in 1990. The first 3000 copies of the Sub Pop 7" were pressed on either blue-marbled or pink vinyl. The recording featured Dan Peters on drums on “Sliver” and Chad Channing on drums on “Dive”. DGC re-released the song to radio stations to support the release of Incesticide in 1992, resulting in significant airplay. Several live performances of “Sliver” were included on later Nirvana releases, including the 1992 "In Bloom" single, and on the live album From the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah in 1996. An early acoustic version would later appear on the 2004 box set With the Lights Out .

This auction is for the 1990 Sub Pop 45 release of Nirvana’s “Sliver” backed with “Dive,” pressed on blue marble vinyl.  Included with the picture sleeve is the Sub Pop Singles Club registration postcard. The record is in Near Mint+ condition. The sleeve is Very Good+. The Singles Club registration postcard is torn and almost removed from the sleeve.
