Description
For sale is a triple vinyl record set by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Various Artists titled "Will The Circle Be Unbroken", originally released in 1972 on United Artists Records, with a tri-fold cover presentation to accomodate the three records and inner sleeves. According to the liner notes, this record was mastered by Doug Sax and Arnie Acosta at The Mastering Lab, located in Los Angeles, California. In the dead wax between the last tracks and the labels is etched "T1", indicating that the record was made at Columbia Records' pressing plant, located in Terre Haute, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this three record set used, professionally cleaned them on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put them into three archival inner sleeves. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any insert or inner sleeve that may have come with the release. The inner sleeves are all Near Mint. The cover is graded as Good Plus because of corner blunts, shelf rubs, ring wear, stress cracks along the seams and paper missing at both ends of the spine. The spine has color loss along the edges from these shelf rubs. Many of the corners have begun to fray with paper loss. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint Minus, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, but with superficial sleeve marks, none of which seems to affect playback a lot. The rest of the records are without any surface scratches, scuffs or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading this record as Near Mint Minus, with ocassional low level surface noise and a few tics. It plays all the way through without any pops, lock-ups or skips from start to finish. I have more Country albums, as well as records of all genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
