Description
All records in my ebay shop listed as 'Buy it now' have been fully play tested and carefully listened to. I do not understand how records can be properly graded by visual inspection only. Some mint looking records can sound awful and some marked records sound perfect. My prices may sometimes seen a little high but please remember I can only list a few records a week and you will receive what was described and no nasty surprises! Please read back through my feedback to see what buyers think of my descriptions and record quality.
Nixa PLP 582 Original red & gold label in fully laminated flip back sleeve. Bach: Unaccompanied 'Cello Suites' Nos1 & 4 / Janos Starker(Cello). Recorded in the early 1950's
The record is in amazing condition for its age. The is still a nice shine to the heavy vinyl with just a couple of small light marks(not scratches). The labels are nice and clean with no spindle hole wear. There is a slight warp to the record but this does not affect a low mass arm and Ortofon cartridge.
The fully laminated very soft sleeve with flipbacks has light creasing to the opening edge and some wear to the bottom left corner. The other three corners are fine. The top and bottom edges are very good with little wear but the spine has wear to the bottom 5cm. The spine has a small split(approx 1cm) in the middle and wear to the bottom 5cm. The writing on the spine is still clearly legible. The rear of the sleeve shows a crease to the top right corner and small areas of laminate lift(please checks photographs).
The record sounds amazing. This record is pressed on quite hard heavy vinyl so there is some very occasional light background sound mainly on the 2nd side.
Overall this is a very nice copy of quite a rare early Janos Starker recording of Bach's unaccompanied Cello Suites Nos.1 & 4
Grading:
Mint means factory sealed and therefore unplayed
Near mint means there are no visible marks on the record and if there are no spindle marks on the labels either that will be stated. The record will have been fully played and the sound quality described.
Excellent means there are one or visible marks that will be explained and the sound quality described.
Sleeves are carefully described and photographed.

Please note: A box set with 3 LPs will generally have the same shipping price as 4 LPs and a 4 LP box set the same as 5 LPs, etc. Sometimes if the box has a heavy libretto for example this will not apply. Sometimes 7 LPs is too heavy for 1 parcel and therefore I will have to split into 2 parcels and sometimes the records weigh less and I can reduce the cost. I always weigh the complete order and packing before sending an invoice. If I can save you money I will.
