Description
For sale is Norman Granz' "JAM SESSION #6," Verve MG V-8054, MONO, DG, 1956. With Dizzy Gillespie, Roy Eldridge, Flip Phillips, Herb Ellis, Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown, Louis Bellson, others.
SOUND: NM It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, fantastic playback! Side A is near-perfect! Side B very clean, sharp sound, with a few soft, random tics. Very minor! Only a perfectionist would object.
VINYL: VG+/NM Overall, beautiful-looking, clean vinyl. There are a couple very faint hairline marks either side... routine, completely superficial. Labels are deep-grooved black/silver "trumpeter," lovely, clean condition, with a couple very faint spindle marks.
JACKET: VG+ Solid all-around, with slightly bumped corners. Front and back are clean and in very nice condition. The back "promo" stamp and a touch of black marker.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
