Description

Norman Granz "Norman Granz' Jazz At the Philharmonic Volume 11" 1950 Mercury MG 35011 mono 10".  As I say in other listings, all the recordings from the Jazz at the Phil series are compelling and historic, and this one is no different.  Killer sessions featuring all time greats of jazz--on this one you get Dizzy Gillespie and Lester Young from 1946.  Both sides are sessions on "The Man I Love."  Be aware that this is the original Mercury release, not one of the reissues by Clef and others: check out the different layout on the back sleeve and compare it to later versions.  Sleeve is nice straight on, but has a fading stripe on the left side, some damage on the edges and the spine, light scuffing on the back (study photos).  Vinyl has a one light scratch on each side, which are not appreciably affecting the playback, which is very nice.  Just cleaned with a VPI wet-vac system.  I'll pay the shipping via USPS Media Mail.
