Northern Soul DUSTY SPRINGFIELD AM I THE SAME GIRL PHILIPS BF 1811 1969 ex
On offer is a DUSTY SPRINGFIELD 45rpm entitled AM I THE SAME GIRL c/w EARTHBOUND GYPSY as released on PHILIPS BF 1811 in 1969.
The A side of this Dusty Springfield 45 is a sought-after Northern soul mod favourite. The B side features Dusty in a swing jazz breathless vocal style arrangement.
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition: with a nice sheen on each side of the vinyl.
The record labels are nice and clean, with no writing on them.
This example from my collection has its’ three prong original centre still attached.
The Northern A side sounded great when I test played it on my BOSE record player – however the non-Northern B side played with some background surface noise throughout.
The record comes housed in its’ original PHILIPS label company sleeve: which has a couple of pictures of Dusty – cut from the music papers of the day – glued to it. A very nice 60s touch! - See scans.

EXCELLENT (EX) THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND/OR CREASING.
VERY GOOD (VG) THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER OR EXTRA ITEMS, WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS, IS ACCEPTABLE.
GOOD (G) THE RECORD HAS BEEN PLAYED SO MUCH THAT THE SOUND QUALITY HAS NOTICEABLY DETERIORATED, PERHAPS WITH SOME DISTORTION AND MILD SCRATCHES. THE COVER AND CONTENTS SUFFER FROM FOLDING, SCUFFING OF EDGES, SPINE SPLITS, DISCOLOURATION, ETC.
THE USE OF PLUS (+) OR MINUS (-) ALLOWS FOR ITEMS THAT FALL BETWEEN THE ABOVE GRADES.
