Description
We had the good fortune this week of being able to go through 100's of 45's that no one had looked through before. Many will be offered in combined lots in the weeks ahead, but there were some standouts and this is one of them.
This is "This Gets to Me'" by Pookie Hudson on Jamie Records # 1319. You can see in the photo that it is stamped D.J. Copy. It's a nice uptempo tune.
Since it is a more valuable Northern Soul record I am going to do the same thing I did with some of the other high dollar records I've sold and describe it in detail.
It has some surface marks from not being stored properly. They are mostly scuffs. There is a light clicking in the first 30 seconds of the records which doesn't diminish the records sound too much. After that any surface noise is not very noticeable. It's not a perfect record, but no one will complain on the dance floor.
The flip side is a slow dance number "All the Places I've Been' and is as strong or maybe a little stronger than the A side. I actually like the B side better musically and am actually surprised it didn't get any airplay in the U.S.

MINT * Perfect record, clean gloss, no marks. A mint record is uncommon.
MINT- * Very clean only a couple light marks; plays very well.
VG++ * Surface marks, no scratches, should play and look very good, with minimal surface noise
VG+ * More surface marks, maybe a few faint scratches; should play and look very good but more surface noise, some occasional clicks
VG * Still a nice record, looks used, light scratches, no gouges, still plays fairly well, some clicks
VG- * Record shows wear, marks, scratches, some surface noise
