Classic progressive jazz-rock album. Very rare – probably the hardest of the ‘spacecraft (post-spiral) Vertigo albums to find.

Low starting price so possible bargain!

VINYL – Superb sheen – looks like new and plays beautifully.  Very near mint early quality Vertigo vinyl with at most 2 to 3 plays. Fresh gloss surfaces with superb clear and powerful near perfect sound – no clicks or jumps. Visual and Audio both EX+

LABELS - very near mint perfect 1st press green & blue 'spaceship' (Roger Dean) Vertigo labels.Bright, clean, sharp and unmarked with almost no signs of spindle use. Curious misalignment of printed guide spindle hole on Side 2 (see photo). EX+

SLEEVE: Original textured sleeve overall in fantastic condition. Superb 'mottled' texture to the matt (unlaminated) finish. Tight seams and clear sharp opening edges and corners. Would rank as EX+ if it were not for some slight rubbing to the  top and bottom corners of the spine and in particular a small piece of fraying some 2” from the top (see photo). Nevertheless spine clearly legible.  Overall still rates as EX-

 I use a slight variant on RC gradings (see below) but tend to grade conservatively because, firstly, as a collector myself, I know how frustrating it is to receive ‘over-graded’ items and, secondly, I wish to maintain and develop a good reputation. I never grade a used record as Mint and all of my records have been play tested.

All records have been cleaned with a Moth machine.

While I describe items as honestly and accurately as I can (and use photos of the actual items), a refund is guaranteed if you are not satisfied with the items as described.  This has not been necessary to date and my feedback has been 100% positive.

Record Collector Grading System:

M = Mint: Never been played or item still sealed. Cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster (ie contents) are in perfect condition.

Ex = Excellent: Shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG = Very Good: Obviously been played many times but no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on cover or contents, without any major defects.

Gd = Good: Sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Mild scratches. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.

Fair: Still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise - it may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor: Will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. Cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

I also use Plus (+) or Minus (-) to allow for items that fall between the above grades.
