OASIS - Out of the Blue - Michael Spencer Jones - Roman Numeral Edition of XXV


An ultra-rare portfolio collection of iconic artworks from the lens of Michael Spencer Jones.

The Out of the Blue portfolio collection was originally published in 2009 as a set of 250 copies - containing 10 mounted photographs of Oasis' album & single covers from 1994 up until 1998, together with a 192 page hardback book.

At this time a smaller version containing the artwork to Oasis' first 3 albums was produced in a Roman numeral edition of only XXV (25) copies, to be given out amongst friends and family. The portfolio listed here is one of those rare copies and is number XVIII of XXV (18 of 25). The folio has never been available on the primary market.

The portfolio is a luxurious high end product and is made to last. The solander box is hand made with durable pellaq and lined in Silsuede. It is made by the same craftsmen who worked on George Harrison's famous limited edition Songbook I & II which was published by Genesis Publications. The Out of the Blue book was designed by David Costa at Wherefore Art? who designed the hugely successful Beatles Anthology book. It was printed and hand bound by Grafiche Milani in Milan and is quarter bound in leather with silver gilt pages.

The folio contains original artwork to Oasis' first 3 album covers, Definitely Maybe, (What's the Story)Morning Glory? and Be Here Now. Each crystal archive photograph was produced using the original camera negative and comes on a museum quality mount board and is signed & numbered by the photographer, Michael Spencer Jones.

A highly desirable item for any art collector or music fan.
