Description

Very happy to be able to offer you this very rare Dutch item: "How time flies" by Obelisque. Jean Jobses writes about this gem in his book on Dutch private pressings:"The two brothers Wim and Peter Best, in 1976/77 known as Obelisque, recorded their lp, titled 'How time flies', in Rotterdam, but it was manufactured in England.

Ton Vlasman, in Holland well known for his psychedelic lp "White rooms with disintegrated walls", engineered the whole thing. The record contains beatiful folk songs, all own compositions; two Welsh traditional songs complete the whole thing. During their live gigs Peter and Wim were accompanied by Ad van Bokhoven and they toured the British Isles during August 1977. Only 500 had been pressed and it was distributed all over Europe; a pretty hard one to find. Wim (1957) still plays, but just for fun he sometimes makes an own composition, while Peter (1951) is very active in the music business as a composer, songwriter and singer (soloist)."

Item for sale is the original release: The ultimate Record label URL.601,released in 1978. Cover is in great shape, just check the pictures. Vinyl looks totally unplayed; i grade it at near Mint!.
