Description

OCEANLINERS & KING SPORTY
A: Self Destruct (vocal)
B: Self Destruct (insturmental)
[KINGSTON 41006, US]

IMPOSSIBLY RARE, seemingly entirely unknown and undocumented 45 from 1972 that has got the same catalogue number (41006) as another release on the Kingston label by The Rising Sun. The 45 you have here by King Sporty & The Oceanliners was most likely withdrawn or just sold very locally. I have never seen another copy of this 45. "Self Destruct" is a fantastic northern soul / crossover dancer with gigantic potential. Have a listen below! This tune was amazingly sampled in Justin Timberlake's "That Girl" from 2013. An incredibly hard to find 45 on this legendary label out of Florida.

Vinyl condition: VG (vocal) / VG+ (instrumental) (many light hairlines, plays great, listen!)

SOUNDCLIP:

Click on the "play" button above or  HERE to listen to SOUNDCLIPS of both sides! The soundclip will open in your default music player.
