O.D. CORRAL -- Same -- hard to find, original 1975 U.S. album, White Label Demo Test Pressing. O.D. Corral (led by singer David Bradley) were a well-known local San Diego, California band with a stoned, long-haired Hippie Country Rock sound in the vein of the International Submarine Band / Flying Burrito Bros. / Sir Douglas Quintet. This LP was recorded live in San Diego in July, '75 and features the band in excellent form tearing through covers of Merle Haggard's Mama Tried, The Race Is On, Diggy Diggy Li, Topanga and others in between occasionally obscene slip-ups and raucous stage patter. By the time this was recorded, the Burritos-style Hippie Country movement was already on the wane, which may account for the band's near-total obscurity (note that there is a Jerry Jeff Walker song called "O.D. Corral," but it's unclear whether this is a tribute to Bradley's band or if they took their name from the song.) In any case, this LP is almost totally unknown, with a handmade cover taped together from demo artwork; it's also not clear whether the album ever saw an actual commercial release or if it only exists in demo form. Cover: VG+, xeroxed demo art taped together, light browning from age. Record: VG+/VG++, light surface wear, overall very clean, on H.V. Waddell demo label, U.S. press.
