ODYSSEY Setting Forth HARD PROG PSYCH SEALED RE LP (LION PRODUCTION)

Once upon a time, when the music business was more music than business (but only just), there was a band that created a quintessential dose of New York sixties psychedelia-strong harmonic vocals, heavy swirling organ, and fuzz guitar riffs of the greatest ferocity. Their lone album, one of the ten rarest and most sought after US psychedelic albums, is available on vinyl for the first time since its original pressing-painstakingly remastered, repackaged, and ready for true psych fans to devour. This is truly one of the cornerstones of underground psychedelic music, recorded in 1969, released in an edition of fewer than 100 copies, and impossible to find as it only came in a plain white cardboard sleeve. An album that jumps right out of the speakers at you, from its opening "In-a-gadda-da-vida" riffs right to the very end. Gatefold spread has a band history by Odyssey leader Vinny Kusy, as well as rare photos from his own archive. Now, on to the presentation... Highest quality mastering and pressing (done at Acoustech Mastering/RTI in California); the resulting LP is housed in a poly-lined sleeve, which is inside an ultra-heavy 1960's Project label style gatefold jacket, which is in a loose-fitting plastic sleeve.

Gradings

I playgrade and carefully check all my offered LPs & CD's.

Grades are "Cover/Record"

Sealed : unopened, still in shrink.

M : new, unplayed and is in perfect condition.

M- : the record might have been played but it has no defects other than pressing stains that do not affect sound quality.

EX : only slight signs of wear; very clean, only light surface marks which will not distract significantly from the sound. Cover also has only slight wear, and is still in nice collectible condition.

VG+ : played often with moderate surface wear and some moderate noise - still plays well. Cover may have medium overall wear or some ring wear.

VG : overall wear, but no skips of serious defects, more noisy sound during quiet passages. Cover is well worn, usually with considerable ring wear.

INFO SEALED: Lp's & CD's will be opened & checked if desired after payment is received. I can't offer that recourse if you want the Lp sent sealed.
