THE BEATLES / THE OFFICIAL BEATLES FANCLUB - " ANOTHER BEATLES CHRISTMAS RECORD ", Lyntone (LYN 757) 1964.
Very rare 1964 Beatles Fan Club Christmas flexidisc, in surprisingly good shape with it's original envelope.
CONDITION:
VINYL = EX (Under a bright grading lamp there are a couple of very faint paper scuffs just visible and I guess the disc's surface doesn't quite have the sheen it would have had when new. However, there are no scratches or any other obvious marks/damage/signs of mistreatment. On playback, there is some very faint surface noise during the run-in which occasionally can be heard at later quieter moments in the record as you would expect with a flexi-disc from new. Of course the sound quality is also limited by the medium and it's never going to be a hi-fi listening experience... so occasionally the voices do sound a little harsh. Overall, not quite as good as new (and of course, not listed as such) but I would say that this particular copy has hardly ever been played, probably sounding about as good now as it ever has. Definitely the best copy I've had of this flexi in the last 10+ years and not blighted by the loud hiss and chronic distortion that usually afflicts most surviving copies of this record.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!)
SLEEVE = EX- (Has spent it's whole life in it's original evelope and as such, is nice and flat and clean... no rips, creases, defacing, etc. That said, I have marked it down for not being as white as it started out and a few brownish discoloured areas around where it is glued... possibly from the glue decaying over time - see photo)
