SANTANA / SHIVAS LULLABY ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by OKKO BEKKER. Original German pressing on BASF label (05 11149-5), from 1971. Experimental sitar funk / mini moog masterpiece with killer breaks and insane synthesizers by the cosmic Okko Bekker. Stoned, delirious mood music with tabla and exotic percussion too. For many, the SANTANA theme is the bomb track from his Sitar & Electronics Lp. SANTANA was arguably mis-titled on the original Lp as the sleeve info conflicted with the label info due to a printing error. We think the correct title is maybe GANGES DELTA (?) Whatever, this is a wild and potent club tune for DJs. Mystical, hippie Krautrock does not get funkier than this. SHIVAS LULLABY is psychedelic sitar lounge with trippy vocal harmony. Groovy sleeve artwork showing the sitar magician ;) Rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with some hairlines and faint scuffs. Light surface noises. Some soft pops / ticks to 'Shivas Lullaby' side (as you can hear on the soundclip). The tactile, soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition overall with some ring creasing / light corner and edge wear in places. Rare 45!!!
