RARE VOLUME TWO DA 383, which gives ADDITIONAL numbers to the ORIGINAL CAST RECORDING issued as [Vol. 1] (1943)???Decca DA-359
Decca made history by recording 12 ten-inch 78-rpm
sides by members of the original Broadway cast in album #359. It sold so well that Decca recalled the cast to record 4 more sides released as OKLAHOMA! Volume Two (DA 383) in 1945. People who bought both sets could enjoy the full musical score of OKLAHOMA! in their homes, which in turn helped sell even more tickets to the show.
