Description
Being offered is a 7" E. Berliners gramophone record, single sided, stamped 86
The record is etched The Braes of Auchterarder & Annie Laurie played by The Royal Artillery Band, London
This is believed to be before 1901, when the Company first started to use labels instead of etching the information.
It is offered as a collectors piece, as shown, as I am not able to play the record.

All Items are Originals, unless otherwise stated, and may also be viewed by arrangement
Postage and packing is normally shown separately for the U.K., Europe & Worldwide, except for items weighing over 5 kg. Please contact me for an estimate of the likely cost, if not shown below before bidding on items which are required to be sent overseas, as some heavier items can cost many times the U.K. postage
Payment in the U.K. can be by Paypal, Personal Cheque drawn on a U.K. Bank, or U.K. Postal Order
Payment from Other Countries must be through Paypal, Sterling cheques drawn on a U.K. Bank or cash by agreement (subject to Bank Charges for non U.K. currency) ONLY. I am unable to accept cheques drawn on non U.K. Banks, because of the high charges made in encashing them
The successful bidder must contact me within 3 days of the auction ending and payment is due within 7 days – if you are likely to be away, please contact me prior to the end of the auction
All items are sent by the next available post, following receipt of cleared funds, and packed suitably to withstand the normal rigours of the postal system.
Unless stated otherwise, recorded delivery and full insurance are an advisable extra, although a Certificate of Posting is always obtained, which offers up to £28 compensation, within the U.K., in the unlikely event of an item going astray. All items are sent 1st class through the Post Office, unless otherwise stated. Overseas buyers are responsible for any import charges

E. Berliner Gramophone - Following Requests, the following Information is added/clarified -
The number 1119 is etched before the stamped number 86
The trademark is 'L. Berliner's Gramophone Covered by English & Continental Patents', and there is also the Angel trademark used between Jan 1899 to Dec 1900 on the front.
On the plain back is 'Reproduced in Hanover'
