Description
A great opportunity to buy a copy of a RARE VINYL 7 inch E.P. from the 1960's by various R 'n' B acts called "On The Scene".
This is a U.K. pressing issued in 1965 on the Columbia label (SEG 8413).
It has a total of 6 tracks:-
Baby Let Me Take You Home - The Animals
I Wish You Would - Yardbirds
Respectable - The Cheynes
Do-Re-Mi - Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames
Seven Daffodils - The Cherokees
Baby What's Wrong - Downliners Sect.
The record is in a GOOD condition. I always grade and examine records under a bright table lamp and there are many surface marks evident on both sides. There is some crackle on the opening track of side one (The Animals) and on side two between tracks. However apart from this it plays excellent and sounds great.
The labels are clean and free from any writing or major defects, apart from a very faint number written on side one and only evident when tilted towards the light.
The record is housed within a laminated flipback picture sleeve in a VERY GOOD condition. The edges and spine are still strong. There is a crease in the bottom corner resulting in feathered wear along the opening edge. There is some ring-wear noticeable when tilted towards the light. The unlaminated back cover is reasonably clean and is undamaged. Overall, a great record to have as an example of the mid-60's U.K. Beat Scene.
