3ChordRecords is offering for auction an Excellent copy of the ultra rare 1970 UK Stereo LP by The Alan Skidmore Quintet “Once Upon A Time” on DERAM.

Cat No. SDN 11

The front cover is in Excellent condition retaining most of the shine in the laminate and with no tears. There is a small amount of lifting of the laminate by the spine but this has not split or cracked. There are small marks and creases at the spine but overall the front cover is Excellent. The pinched spine shows some minor wear but all wording is clear. The rear cover does have some patches of discolouration to the white cover (see pictures) but overall this is lovely sleeve for a tough to find record, you will not be disappointed.

The record comes in the original blue Decca inner sleeve and is again in Excellent condition retaining all of its original sheen with only one visible surface mark, that does affect play, the label is also in Excellent condition with some minor spidering.

I have played through the record and there is some minor static crackle at the start of side 1, it soon settles down and may well go with a good clean of the record.

Overall a fantastic copy of this ultra rare record
