Bemerkungen / Comments:

Official vinyl release of Hanau (near Frankfurt) group Orange Peel including their 1969 7' release 'I Got No Time/ Searching For A Place To Hide' as bonus tracks. Their eponymous album is not one of the 1st heavy krautrocks efforts, but also of great historical interest. It's one of the first albums to be made in the legendary Dierks Studio in Cologne and also marked the start of (then) 17 years old drummer Curt Cress. The music on the album belongs to the category of vintage progressive rock with a lot of extended instrumental solos, not leased on 'You can't change them all' covered the whole side one of the original album (now completed with the 7' track 'I Got No Time'). This is a classic album of the early krautrock era. Comes with insert including band story and rare photos. A classic!

Bis heute besitzt keine Hanauer Formation einen so klangvollen Namen - obwohl Orange Peel bereits 1971 wieder auseinander gegangen sind.
Ihren ersten Auftritt hatten Orange Peel im April 1968 in der Hanauer Stadthalle, es folgte ein rasanter Aufstieg. Die Hanauer Musiker gaben Konzerte von Essen bis Paris und gingen 1970 mit Deep Purple auf Tour.

Weil es ohne einander auf Dauer ein bisschen langweilig war, geben Orange Peel seit 1984 in unregelmäßigen Abständen wieder gemeinsame Konzerte.
