Description
Released in 1991, Orbital (Also known as Orbital 2 or The Brown Album) was the second full-length from Kent electronic legends Orbital.
Widely regarded a classic, the record saw Phil and Paul Hartnoll delivering a more atmospheric palette than on their debut, which consisted largely of energetic dance numbers.
The result was a collection retrospectively featured in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, along with Q magazine's 90 Best albums of the 1990s and Mixmag’s 50 Best Dance Albums of All Time, where it was ranked #9.
