Description
Rare first pressing of this 1979 UK 7" vinyl single from Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, housed in it's original black on black thermographic sleeve which was printed and hand folded and glued by John Roberts and Sons, Chapel Street, Salford.
Only 5,000 copies were issued in this particular high quality sleeve, all of which were sold out by September 1979.
This was the band's first release and track titles are "Electricity" on side one, with "Almost" on side two.
There were several recorded versions of each of the songs used. This disc features version II of "Electricity" (produced by the band and their manager) and Version I of "Almost" (produced by Martin Hannett of Joy Division production fame).
The disc is on the Factory record label, catalogue number FAC 6.
The vinyl has hardly been used, looks like new and plays perfectly. There are minimal spindle marks on the label. Condition: "Excellent+".
The thick card thermographically printed sleeve is also in fantastic shape with only the very slightest evidence of ringmarking and no edge wear at all. Condition: "Excellent".
