The Holy Grail of Quebec disco-break-funk LP's.....their only LP, privately-pressed in miniscule numbers, now very rare & hard-to-find .....and not a weak track on the album !!
Yet, this isn't a disco album if measured against the typical dance-floor movers of the 70's.......but rather, it's an easier-going jazzy and rythmic samba/bossa-infused mover with smooooth vocal harmonies, Cortex-like Latin beats, sweeeet percussion, hot saxes flutes & trombone ....and killer funky guitar and drum breaks !
Very reminiscent of fellow Canadians Mutual Understanding (In Wonderland), but with the jazzier beats and cool French vocals of Cortex's "Troupeau Bleu".
Organisation C boasts the vocal harmonies of Celine Chaput, Claude Robillard, François Clément, and a young 23 year-old Johanne Blouin (featured here several years before she initiated her solo career)........and a monster 12-member band led by renowned Quebec orchestra leader and trombonist Claude Blouin (who also composed all the tracks).
Also with Roger Simard (drums), Jean Delorme (Fender Rhodes, Moog, synths), Luc Boivin (congas, tymbales, percussion), Richard Ring (guitars), Bob Angellilo (bass) and a full horn section.
