Description
This is a hard to find LP by Shanghai born multi lingual vocalist Rebecca Pan Wan Ching. Released in1962, Oriental Pearls recorded on the Hong Kong, Diamond label is a collection of of Far Eastern favourites, sung in a variety of languages including English, Chinese and even Spanish. The record itself comes in acceptable condition. Side A plays well though there is quite a bit of crackling on the first few tracks, but it does improve. Visually there are obvious scratches on both sides of the vinyl. Side B has damage to the label and is also playable, but there is a deeper scratch which causes a noticeable click on the first 3 tracks of this side as well as a deep scratch, affecting the first track on side B and creating the same click but no jumping etc. There are quite a lot of lighter scratches on this side also. The cover comes in reasonable condition with some light creases, a few light stains, a small tear on the spine made by the record itself and some light foxing on the white areas of the cover. Not a great copy, but it might appeal to a fan of the lovely and talented Ms. Pan. Postage to Asia is $14.
